May 2022 - Leiden     Leiden is famous for its university as well as its museums. We often take visitors here because of all the quant canal walks and great museums. The primary focus of our trip was to visit the spa... the ultimate relaxation activity. Leiden is also where Sarah communted for 2 years to complete a masters degree from Leiden University, founded as a Protestant university in 1575 by William, Prince of Orange, as a reward to the city of Leiden for its defence against Spanish attacks during the Eighty Years' War. It is one of Europe's leading international research universities.   We took the train to Lieden Rule #4 of the Spa - no clothing.
